                     Medical Coder is someone who converts a patients diagnosis by a health professional into universal codes. A medical coder may use a set of published codes on medical diagnosis and procedure such as International Classification of Codes (ICD) for reporting to the health insurance  provider of the recipient of the care.  ICD-10 is the 10th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Disease and Related Health Problems.
